Triceps: Incline Triceps Extension
Point: This exercise is recommended as a foundational triceps exercise because it places a strong load on the long head, which is the largest part of the triceps. By performing it while lying on an incline bench, you can achieve a greater stretch, which is crucial for muscle hypertrophy!
Back: T-Bar Row
Point: This exercise primarily targets the latissimus dorsi and the middle to lower trapezius, making it a comprehensive exercise for the back muscles. It allows you to handle heavy weights with a free-weight feel and has the advantages of placing less strain on the lower back and maintaining posture more easily compared to bent-over rows. If you are accustomed to it, you can use a bit of momentum without compromising form to add high-weight stimulation to your back for optimal results!
